About

I'm a French-American educator based in France with more than 20 years of experience in language education. My work has included French immersion, curriculum development, secondary and adult education, and personalized language instruction.

La Maison Wren grew from that experience and from a desire to connect language learning with everyday life, culture, and real experiences in France.

June 2024

Immersion Week Trial

In June 2024, three adult learners joined me in Burgundy for a trial French immersion week combining language practice, local excursions, shared meals, and everyday cultural experiences. The week helped shape the future direction of La Maison Wren.
2017 Onward

Secondary Level & Adult Learners

I expanded my work with secondary students and adult learners, with a focus on advanced language development, cultural competence, and personalized instruction.
2012-2017

A New Chapter

After moving to California, I taught at the Santa Rosa French-American Charter School and developed curriculum materials centered on practical language use and cultural understanding.
2009-2012

Immersion Beginnings

I was part of Utah's early French dual-immersion movement, teaching in one of the state's first French immersion programs and helping students build bilingual skills through content-based instruction.
